Get to know us

Our agency was started back in 1990 by my father Ed Hughes who worked as a top sales agent within the insurance industry since the 1970s. Our original name was Mid-Way Insurance Agency which was later changed to Hughes Insurance Agency when I took over in 1994. I became a licensed agent in 1985 and joined my father in 1990. In 1994 I purchased the agency from my father who along with my mother taught me the values of integrity, honesty and hard work for my clients.

We are a small business that can quote through 15 different companies to get each individual client the best rate according to their individual needs. At Hughes Insurance Agency we recognize the diversity of needs and are able to quote through these companies to fit each need. We also recognize when needs change and re-quote as necessary as policies are up for renewal.

Today I still have retained original clients of Mid-Way Insurance Agency that my father started as I have grown my book of business through hard work. I still have clients that show up every month to pay their bill and visit as well as the clients that I visit with via telephone only. I value all of our insured clients and will always put the effort into making sure they have the best rates and most importantly the best coverage to protect their most valued assets.
